Compassionate, curious, and collaborative therapy for growth and healing.

Hello! I’m Assia.

I’m a first-generation Algerian-Canadian and a licensed social worker based in Toronto. I have a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto, and a diploma from the Assaulted Women’s and Children’s Counsellor/ Advocate program at George Brown College.

My work is shaped by a deep respect for how identity, culture, and life experience influence healing and connection. I’ve supported individuals working through trauma, life transitions, and complex relationships, with a focus on community-based mental health.

As a therapist, I aim to bring a warm, collaborative, playful, and grounded presence to our work together. My approach is trauma-informed, strengths-based, and anti-oppressive, with a strong commitment to cultural humility and intersectionality. I believe therapy should feel like a safe and respectful space where your story is met with care and openness.

Outside of my work, I love cooking for friends and family, reading thrillers and romance novels, photography, and relaxing with a good video game or TV show. These everyday joys help to remind me of the importance of rest, connection, and curiosity. I bring these same values into my work with clients.

Whether you are looking for short-term support or a space to explore things more deeply, I would be honoured to accompany you through your journey.
